Geostationary Rainrate - United States Tutorial
The NRL Geostationary rain rate procedure is a significant advancement in the ability to estimate real-time rainfall rates and accumulations, especially over unobserved ocean areas. It gives rainfall estimates with every new pass of geostationary infrared data from a variety of satellites, including GOES, Meteosat, and GMS.
